CS2 Skin Changes: The Good, the Bad, and the Downgrades
The release of CS2 has brought significant changes to various skins in Counter-Strike. In a recent YouTube video by [YouTuber’s Name], they explored the skins that have undergone major upgrades or downgrades. This blog article aims to delve deeper into these changes and provide an overview of how certain skins have evolved in CS2.
Doppler Skins
One of the most notable skin upgrades can be observed in Doppler knives. Phase one now features a handle with a shiny appearance, while phase two presents a darker blue hue instead of black. Phase three boasts a cyan green handle and an icy blade texture, resulting in an overall enhancement. Phase four exhibits stunning sapphire-like qualities when exposed to sunlight. On the other hand, Sapphire Dopplers experienced somewhat of a downgrade as their resemblance to sapphires is diminished under specific lighting conditions.
Emerald Gamma Dopplers also received considerable improvements across all phases except for phase four which still resembles its predecessor too closely. Nonetheless, from upgraded handles shining bright green on phase one to emerald-like appearances on later phases, these dopplers showcase impressive enhancements compared to their counterparts in CS:GO.
Glove Downgrades
Unfortunately, not all skin changes were positive ones. Sport gloves suffered noticeable downgrades as they appeared grayish rather than maintaining their original black coloration seen in CS:GO models. Similarly affected are Driver Gloves Black Tie – once white accents turned lighter gray while black areas became grayer as well.
Upgraded Desert Eagle Fanatic Fox
Amongst positive transformations lies the Desert Eagle Fanatic Fox skin which displays enhanced shine and vibrancy when exposed to sunlight compared to its original counterpart.
Unchanged Stickers & Scope Colors
Certain skins retained previous alterations observed during beta versions of CS2; Acid Fade Scout still retains its colored scope just like Op Snakebite. These changes provide a cooler and more visually appealing gaming experience.
Auto Sniper Azure Zebra
The Auto Sniper Azure Zebra has undergone an unintentional change, with the entire weapon now featuring a blue camo pattern instead of its original design in CS:GO where only certain parts were covered by the camo. While some players may prefer this new look, others might find it less appealing due to the lack of variety in patterns.
Auto Tronic Knives
One major downgrade can be observed in Auto Tronic knives which appear completely black unless illuminated by sunlight from specific angles. This significant alteration diminishes their overall appeal compared to their previous appearance.
Improved AK Gold Arabesque
AK Gold Arabesque is one skin that has seen notable improvements, as it appears shinier and more vibrant than before while still falling short of capturing a genuine gold-like effect.
Sticker Upgrades
CS2 brings exciting upgrades to stickers, particularly DreamHack stickers and Kato 2015 holos. These upgraded versions feature stunning rainbow colors that make them stand out significantly during gameplay. Additionally, other skins such as USP Play Skin also showcase improved sticker appearances enhancing visual aesthetics for players.
Marble Fade Upgrade & Fire/Ice Downgrade
Marble Fades receive substantial upgrades with brighter yellow hues and better blending of colors compared to those found in CS:GO. However, Fire/Ice skins experienced downgrades since they now struggle to display red tones effectively when not facing direct sunlight – potentially disappointing collectors who seek vibrant color combinations on these particular skins.
Glove Changes – Amphibious Gloves
Amphibious gloves demonstrate an unexpected flaw within Factory New variations; scratched knuckles are highly visible despite being advertised as pristine condition gloves. This unintended deviation from quality standards could pose challenges for collectors or buyers seeking flawless glove models.
Butterfly Knife Upgrade
Butterfly knives have received remarkable handle upgrades across all variants, now featuring a shiny appearance. This enhancement adds to the overall appeal of these knives, making them even more desirable.
Sport Gloves – Grayed Out Glamour
Unfortunately for sport glove fans, they experienced some downgraded appearances in CS2 as they turned grayish instead of maintaining their original contrasting black hues present in CS go. Both Sport Gloves | Amphibious and Sport Gloves | Driver Gloves Black Tie fell victim to this change.
Desert Eagle FANUC Fox – A Shining Upgrade
The Desert Eagle FANUC Fox stands out in the CS2 updates, as it showcases a shiny appearance when exposed to sunlight. This upgrade adds more visual appeal compared to its previous version.
Scoped Skins: Acid Fade Scout and Op Snakebite
Two scoped skins that retain their colored scopes are the Acid Fade Scout and Op Snakebite. These upgrades enhance their coolness factor in-game by adding vibrant colors to critical aspects of these weapons.
Auto Sniper Azure Zebra – Unintended Change?
The Auto Sniper Azure Zebra experienced an unintended change with its camo pattern now extending across the entire gun rather than being limited only to certain parts like in CS go. It is unclear why this alteration occurred, but it does add a unique touch compared to its original design.
Auto-Tronic Knives – Unexpected Downgrade
Unfortunately, Factory New Auto-Tronic knives have been downgraded significantly in CS2. Instead of showcasing the expected red accents on a black handle, they appear completely black unless hit by direct sunlight – rendering them far less appealing for collectors or enthusiasts seeking pristine versions of these knives.
Other Notable Changes:
Several other skin changes can be observed:
- AK Gold Arabesque: Although still lacking a true gold look, the upgraded version appears shinier than before.
- Stickers: Dreamhack stickers and Kato 2015 holos received major upgrades with vivid rainbow colorways that make them stand out more impressively during gameplay.
- Marble Fades: The Marble Fade skins underwent significant improvements, resulting in brighter yellows and better blending of colors.
- Print Stream Skins: Sadly, print stream skins lost their holographic effect entirely in CS2.
- USP Orion: In most cases, the top area of USP Orions is scratched in CS2, which is a noticeable downgrade.
- Rust Coat Knives: The M9 Rust Coat knife looks significantly lighter than its CS go counterpart, resembling
